No one really does know what Jesus looked like. All we can ever do is make our own interpretations. I for one, believe that Christ had dark brown or black hair and tan skin, after all, he did travel alot, and they probably hadn't invented much to prevent sun damage back then.
I believe that all people have different interpretations, depending on what they've read, seen, heard, been taught, etc.

It was in middle ages Europe that his pictures and statues changed to make him look more European, probably because the church did not want to point out his Jewish origin, and there were Jewish replicas of the original Jesus alive in Europe, that were considered 2nd rate citizens at best.

you should check out all of the pictures of the virgin mary from around the world. the strangest one i ever saw was from japan, with the Christ Child sitting on her lap... staight black hair, almond eyes, fair skin... i guess it's not really strange, but that particular painting sticks out in my mind.

I am so tired of watching the spectacle of religions requiring the worship of Near and Middle Eastern gods costing this world all it's resources and time. People of European ancestry have been subjected to the tyranny of these gods for century upon century. Europeans were slaughtered by the millions when they were forced to convert to one of these religions, forced to believe in one of these gods. The near eastern gods weren't their original gods, these belief systems weren't their original religion. The cost is more than enormous--the death and destruction unfathomable. When will you make yourself free of the thought of these gods that cause you to torture and mutilate and maime and destroy? Where is the goodness is all of this? What will it take for you to give up these things that destroy--the complete annihilation of this world? Not every one wants to participate in this self-destruction with you. You don't have the right in whatever god's name to destroy the rest of us.
