Purebred Doberman Pinscher with white hairs?

I have a purebred dobe and he has a couple of white hairs on his ear, someone told me that this is normal, is it?

Normal or not?? All I know is out of the nine Dobies I have owned, all of them had a couple white hairs, all on different parts of their bodies. They are not grey hairs,because they were not that old when I noticed them. All of my dobies are/were AKC.

yes it's normal. i have a pure Flatcoat Retriever, she is getting up in years %26amp; has a few white hairs around her chin %26amp; ears.

well if its old then hair is going to become white, and if its not then somewhere down the line there was probably a mix between a dog that had a gene with white hair labled on it and ur dog has it.

Like a human it is normal for the pigmantation of hair to change colors. Yes it is normal. I have had 3Dobermans in my life time and each one of them had "gray" hair. just like us they get them with age

A few white hairs is normal in just about any purebred dog. Not bred for, but if we are talking 4-5 hairs a judge in the show ring would probably miss it! (or the handler would pluck them before going in) Spots are different, but that takes quite a bit more white hair! My Dobe has three white hairs under his chin, not age related, just white. Funny how we notice those little things about our best friends.

White is a FAULT! Those are the differences between PET stuff %26amp; show/breeding QUALITY animals!!
