They are common in healthy and clean hair and people get infected when they are in places where there are lots of others that's why schoolchildren get them all the time. Don't worry though your pharmacist will have a variety of over the counter treatment shampoos you can use to treat them quickly and effectively. Speak to him/her or your doctor. Hope that helps.
